Hi, I'm Anna.
When I was growing up, my mom always had a camera in hand. She took pictures of my sisters and I; our friends and family; and any interesting rocks, seed pods, or other found objects she came across. At that time photography was all on film, and while I occasionally bought a disposable camera to capture moments with friends, I think I took it for granted that someone else was taking pictures. When I graduated from high school, I had a trip planned with friends, and I asked for a "real camera" of my own for my graduation present. I was given a Minolta Maxxum, which seemed very fancy at the time! Much like that post-graduation trip, my relationship with photography didn't exactly go as planned, and it wasn't until ~20 years later that I bought myself my next "real camera." This time it was a Canon Rebel t3, and I was hooked. While I've moved on from those two original cameras, I've also come full circle and now use a mix of both film and digital cameras.
I love to travel, and use photography both as a way to record where I've been and share moments I've experienced.

Flowers
One of my other interests is growing orchids. I live in a place where winter gets much too cold for tropical plants, so I have an indoor orchid garden for half the year. This has become a huge source of inspiration and, of course, photography subjects. All of my flower portraits are taken by me, with no AI, ever, and almost all of them are also grown by me.
I'm always working on improving and expanding my skills. Recently that includes experimenting with unconventional portraiture - without the use of AI or digital effects.
